Conner Searcy is the Co-founder and managing Partner of Trive Capital, an operationally focused private equity firm based in Dallas, Texas.

Conner is responsible for overseeing all facets of the firm’s investment activities, with aggregate assets under management exceeding $8 billion. He is an active board member for many of Trive’s portfolio companies, bringing almost three decades of experience dedicated to achieving transformational value creation through a collaborative, hands-on approach.

He is an active board member for many of Trive’s portfolio companies, including Choice Health at Home, EarthLink, NuBridge Commercial Lending, Valor Healthcare, and VetCare Canada, bringing almost three decades of experience dedicated to achieving transformational value creation through a collaborative and flexible approach. Over Conner’s private equity career, the firms he has led have completed over 70 platform investments across more than a dozen industry sectors, representing over $10 billion in revenue.

Over Conner’s private equity career, his firm has completed over 200 acquisitions across more than a dozen industry sectors, representing over $10 billion in revenue. Conner’s extensive private company stewardship with Trive includes board seats within nearly all of Trive’s historical investments.

Prior to co-founding Trive in 2012, Conner served as a Partner at Insight Equity, a firm he joined at its inception in 2002. From 1999 to 2001, he also worked as a Director at Stonegate, a middle-market buyout firm focused on the building products industry.

Conner began his career at Bain & Co. from 1996 to 1999, where he focused on turnaround management, business strategy, and merger integration consulting. Conner earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2003 and graduated with a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in three years in 1997.

Conner has three wonderful children who work with him on the Searcy Family Foundation, which focuses on serving numerous civic and philanthropic causes, including children’s health, education, and the arts.

The foundation’s mission is to direct the family’s time, talents, and treasure to “throw a pebble that creates a ripple” across communities in need of a jumpstart. Conner also currently serves on numerous charitable boards, including the Board of Trustees at Vanderbilt University, Youth with a Mission, and Giving Tree Acres.

Conner is an avid outdoorsman and international traveler, often combining these two passions by participating in endurance events around the world. Having traveled to over 60 countries across six continents, Conner enjoys experiencing new cultures, rediscovering history, and exploring exotic terrains. Moreover, he has cycled through 12 countries, conquering challenging routes like Mount Ventoux, Monte Zoncolan, Mauna Kea, and Independence Pass. In addition to cycling, he enjoys distance running, hiking, and skiing. He has competed in 25 Olympic distance triathlons in 4 countries and raced in multiple Ironman competitions, including the Kona Ironman World Championship in 2018, the Redman Ironman in 2008, and 25 other Ironman 70.3 races across 3 countries, as well as numerous marathons. Conner is an avid art enthusiast, focusing primarily on post-impressionist, modern, and contemporary art across mediums.
